Biz Booster Tip

Question:
What is the first thing I should do, if I am just getting started or if I am re-starting my career?

Take stock of your current situation.

Determine your genre of music or field of performance. This helps determine the best type of venue in which to eventually play.

The most important thing to do is set some realistic goals. Where you would like to be with your performance career in 1 year, 2 years, 5 years and 10 years.

Begin to play house concerts and open mics to develop or enhance your performance skills and build a loyal fan-base.

Once you are comfortable with your stage performance, try getting some opening gigs for some slightly more established performers.
